In this cooking tutorial, we explain you chicken curry recipe. It is simple and easy dish to cook, you can have it with rice, roti, naan. We will explain the method to cook homemade curry in healthy manner than the restaurant dishes.
5-6 chicken pices (as per your requirement)
2 tbsp Oil for cooking
1 tbsp ginger- garlic paste/or chopped ginger and garlic
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp curry powder/chicken masala
2 tomatoes or paste
2 cups of water
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
1 small roughly chopped onion
1 tsp crushed coriander seeds ( or powder)
1 tsp mustard seeds
Spices used: salt, Turmeric and red chilli powder
Fresh Cilantro leaves for garnish
Adjust Salt per taste
Method for cooking chicken curry
Step 1: Heat 3-4 table spoon oil in a pan and fry coriander/cumin/mustard for 30 secs.
Step 2: Add onions and mix well. Add ginger- garlic.
Step 3: Add salt, turmeric and chilli powder. Cook for 2-3 mins.
Step 4: Add chicken. Mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 mins.
Step 5: Add tomatoes. Combine well with other ingredients.
Step 6: Add curry powder. Mix well. Fry for 5-6 mins.
Step 7: Add water and let chicken cook until tender and no longer raw.
Step 8: Add dried fenugreek leaves and cilantro. Mix well.
Step 9: Serve with Roti/naan or rice.
